I am delighted to formally introduce myself as the new principal of Hawthorne Elementary School. As an alumnus, I am deeply honored to return to the institution that significantly shaped my personal and professional journey. I am also a second-generation educator, continuing a family tradition of dedication to the field of education.
With over 15 years of experience in education, encompassing roles as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and acting principal, I have developed a profound appreciation for the value of collaboration, innovation, and fostering a positive school culture. I hold a bachelor's degree in education from Northeastern State University, a Master's in Higher Education from Walden University, and a master's in educational leadership from Southern Nazarene University.
At Hawthorne Elementary, my primary goal is to ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their fullest potential. I am committed to maintaining high standards of academic excellence and nurturing the social and emotional well-being of our students. By working closely with our talented staff, dedicated parents, and vibrant community, I am confident that we can create a dynamic and inclusive environment where every student thrives.
As a parent of two children who attend Tulsa Public Schools, I understand the importance of a supportive and engaging school environment from both an educator's and a parent's perspective.
Effective communication and strong partnerships are essential to a thriving school community. I am eager to connect with each of you as we work together to ensure that Hawthorne Elementary continues to be a place where students are inspired to learn and grow.
