Hawthorne Elementary recently held its end-of-year party to shine a spotlight on Multilingual Families.
Twenty students received awards for completing 350 or more multilingual activities on Imagine Learning, and fifteen were chosen as "Multilingual Learner of the Year" by their teachers. These students demonstrated exceptional academic growth over the year.
Sarah Baker, English Language Development (ELD) teacher at Hawthorne, said, "This is my third year as the ELD teacher at Hawthorne, and one thing that is very important to me is that we provide opportunities for our Multilingual Families to feel connected to the school community."
