You can help keep your school community safe. If you see or hear something concerning, call 918-480-SAFE (7233) or share with a trusted adult.
Outside doors will remain locked during school hours. The front door will remain unlocked. All visitors must report to the office before going to a classroom. Please come to the office and sign in. You will receive a “Visitors” badge to wear. If you have any security concerns, Hawthorne’s “Safe School Committee” meeting times will be announced in the Principal’s Newsletter, please plan to attend. You may also contact the school office (925-1340) at any time.
TIPS (Threat Assessment, Incident Management and Prevention Services) is a reporting system for students and parents to make appropriate TPS officials aware of potential threats to the safety of our students and staff. Such threats could include:
- weapons possession
- drug/alcohol use
- bullying, harassment or intimidation
- school vandalism
- physical assault
- threats of violence
- suicide risk
- abuse or neglect
- other incidents
