The Hawthorne Library Media Center is the "living room" of the school. In this open access concept students may check out books any time during the school day. Each class is also scheduled to visit the media center every week for instruction in library skills and literature appreciation. All students may take their library books home, they just need to be sure and bring them back!
The mission of the Tulsa Public Schools' Library Media Services is to promote the skills, experiences, and confidence that will enable children and young adults to use libraries and information resources for lifelong learning.
7:30 a.m. - 2:35 p.m.
Each student is allowed to check out 2 books. Grades kindergarten through 2nd grade must have their book bag. Check out is for one week.
